Bio

Dr. Tamás Mészáros graduated as an automotive engineer in 1975 and retrained as an aeronautical engineer.

In 1990 he obtained a doctorate in economics.  Since the 1990s, he has been involved in the design and construction of special, custom-built machines and the development of the associated technologies.

In 1996, he joined the team that started the development of emission-free, advanced and economical pure lead grids and the improved LA batteries that could be built from them.  He completed this work in 2018 with the know-how of the Blewin battery system suitable for commercial production.

In 2021, he published the Green Lead Project process, which converts lead from thermal recyclers directly (in one step) into lead grids of your choice, in the BCI Innovation Award.

In 2022, he presented the Uff solution for the production of LA batteries with a specific power of 100 Wh/kg at the same event.  As of 2023, there is Uff 2.0, which is approaching the 120 Wh/kg limit, easily achievable even with factory production.

Technological progress is important to him, but in many cases its economic and social impact is even more important, as (parallel) the protection of the environment.

Innovative grid technology and its impact on the technial and economic parameters of lead batteries
Tamás Mészáros, Co-owner, Blewin Batteries, Hungary

Blewin batteries utilizes extra fine fibre lead-grids and related production technology to produce higher performing lead acid batteries. In this presentation the Uff (the next step of lead-grid development) technology, and resulting enhancement in energy throughput and the reduced charging time will be covered. Uff and Uff 2.0 production and the latest developments in this new type of pure lead grid technology will be summarized as well.
