Geoffrey May

Geoffrey May has been in the battery industry for many years in senior technical positions. He was Chief Technology Officer for Hawker Batteries for many years before it was absorbed into EnerSys and later had the same position with FIAMM before setting up his own business as FOCUS Consulting which provides expert services for due diligence, dispute resolution, market studies and technology. His earlier career was in Hawker Siddeley and Chloride Group where he was closely involved in the commercialisation of valve-regulated lead batteries for automotive and industrial applications.He was educated at Cambridge University where he received his first and second degrees.
