Dr. Andreas Husmann – Director Product Management at HOPPECKE Batterien – studied electrical engineering and earned his doctorate at RWTH Aachen University. After holding various management positions in different industries, he has headed product management at the global battery manufacturer HOPPECKE since 2018.

European Green Deal is the major initiative of the European Community to push ahead sustainability. The initiative focuses on reviewing existing and implementing new legislation on circular economy, building renovation, biodiversity, farming, and innovation. It is undisputed general consensus that modern battery technology is an indispensable component on our way to sustainably using energy. As part of the legislation to support the Green Deal, the European Community has issued the battery regulation setting standards and requirements for the battery market.
